Obituary of Reuben Edwards
Please share a memory of Reuben to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Reuben Edwards was born on Oct.12, 1956 to Reuben Rowland, and Estella Edwards. He was the youngest of four children.
Rueben attended school through the New York City public school system and enjoyed much. In fact he enjoyed music so much, he, his brothers and friends started a band called the insiders, which was later changed to T-N-T connection. He was the drummer of the band. He continued his life with Marjorie Stewart, and had four lovely children, Kristel Stewart, Jennifer Stewart, Rueben Stewart, and Tiffany Stewart. He also shared his life and love with Okema Way, and helped with the raising of her children that he loved as if they were his own. Curtis Way, Vernon Way, Ronnise Way, Ricky Way, Honesty Way, and Ernest Way. He was raised a Baptist and he knew and loved the Lord. He was a trusted, faithful companion, father, brother, and friend. He was always there whenever needed, you could always count on Rueben to be there for you. Rueben loved life and fought long and hard during his illness. He was deeply loved and will be truly missed, he fought his fight with dignity and much courage. We all loved you Rueben. He leaves to be mourn by his children, Kristel, Jennifer, Rueben, and Tiffany, and the Mother of his children Marjorie Stewart. Okema, and her children Curtis, Vernon, Ronnise, Ricky, Honesty, and Ernest. Grandchildren Kaira, Alexia, Devi, Lucus, Pacire, Arriyonna, Jayden, Kayden, and Zuri. Sisters Janet Rowland, Shirley Hollaway. Sister in law, Nancy Rowland. Nieces, nephews, and lots of friends.
As we walk in our sorrow, we are all asking and praying for strength at this time. As we lay our love one to rest. We all pray to the day we meet again. Rest my dead brother. Rest along with your Mother, Father, Brother, and Nephews. Rest with the ones who has loved you. Rest in peace.
