Obituary of Ettie Smith

Ettie Veronica Haynes-Smith passed on July 20th, 2016 peacefully at her home in Staten Island, NY at the age of 60. She was born in St. George Barbados on April 10th, 1956 to Orenia and Winston Haynes, whom both precede her in life. She was the firstborn of 5 brothers and sisters. Ettie Smith was a Paraprofessional for the Board of Education and a prior caregiver and Nursing aide. She had a love for reading and was an active church member. Ettie will be remembered for her radiant smile, strong will, warm and caring personality, her love for her family and her willingness to give everything her all. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family and many friends around the world. Ettie is survived by her beloved husband of 33 years Alfred Smith, daughters Tashana and Stacey, sisters Annette and Sonia, brothers Andy and Kenyon, nieces and nephews Sharon, Allison, Jason, Katrina, Pierre, Greg, Prose, and Alex, great- niece Sadie, great- nephew Rennari, expecting grandson Liam, and can't forget her dog Romeo whom she cherished. We love you Ettie. May her beautiful soul rest in peace.
