Robert James Montgomery Wilson Jr. (Monty) currently of Staten Island NY and Tewksbury MA.
Born in Manhattan and raised on Ardsley on the Hudson. Longtime resident of Reading MA
where he raised his family and had many friends. He was Born January 2, 1955, and passed
unexpectedly on Saturday August 27, 2022.
Monty attended Lawrence Academy in Groton, and then moved to Boston where he attended
Boston University. Monty worked primarily in the banking and mutual fund servicing industries
for over 43 years. He was a Vice President of Credit Suisse in Asset Management New York.
He is survived by his two loving sons Robert (Bobby) Wilson of Saugus and his loving companion
Amanda Hundley, and Andrew Wilson of Staten Island NY and both formerly of Reading MA.
He is predeceased by his Parents Robert and Yvette Wilson formerly of Ardsley-on-Hudson, NY
and Gibson Island, Md. And Brother Geoffrey Wilson of Poughkeepsie NY. His is survived by his
sister Olivia Welbourn of Owing Mills Maryland, Sister-in-Law Orycia Wilson of Poughkeepsie
NY, Along with Nephews and Nieces; Ned Welbourn, Charlotte Welbourn Geoffrey Wilson and
Kathryn Wilson, Arthur Wessels, Alfred Aloise and Jonathan Aloise. He is also survived by his
ex-Wife and dear friend Laura Aloise Wilson formerly of Reading and now of Tewksbury MA.
Monty was the name all his friend’s family and colleagues knew him by. He was always a
hardworking, caring, and generous, fun guy. He enjoyed fine art, music, and food. He loved
golfing, fishing, and enjoyed watching his sons play sports growing up. He also had a fondness
for boating. He was a wonderful dad to his two sons, that he was deeply proud of. He enjoyed
many family vacations, in Florida and in Brewster, and Sandwich MA on Cape Cod.
Monty’s big smile that would fill a room and his quick wit and candor will be remembered by all
who loved and knew him.
Memorial Services will be announced at a later date. Please send your contact information to

lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to Animal Rescue League of Boston arl.org or
National Marine life center Buzzards Bay NMLC.org, in his memory.
