Carol was an amazing educator who brought kindness and compassion to everything she did. Almost forty years after my graduation, i still have fond memories of her. She was especially kind to students who were trying to find their place in the student body. She was also a part of our musical production in my senior year. Lots of laughs and good times. She touched thousands of students in her career. A life well lived - may she rest in peace.

Dr. Trasborg shaped so many of us into educators that love what they do. She showed us how important it was to be well-read, educated, and excited to learn. She reminded us to keep fun in the classroom. Many of us owe her so much!

Dr. Trasborg was the principal of the Ryken Program at Xaverian during my time there. A little anecdote that sticks in my mind about her. When I was in 8th grade, my parents and I were sitting in her office for an interview. I kept looking at her wall and I noticed a picture of Cal Ripken Jr. She asked me, "Do you know why I have that picture up there?" I took a good guess and said, "Because you're from Baltimore." She replied, "No. Not quite. I have that picture on the wall because Cal Ripken Jr. even though he was injured, he kept on playing the game." What she was implying was, Cal Ripken Jr. never gave up.
During my time as a student, she was down to earth as a leader who cared about her students. She will be deeply missed.

I will always be grateful for honest and direct communication. She didn’t need to care as much as she did but all the same she saw the best in those moments when a person couldn’t even see themselves.

I was a junior bridesmaid at Aunt Carol‘s wedding. I always thought she was the coolest person. She treated me as an equal, even though I was just a kid. I’m sure you anre all heartbroken with her passing. Just know that she is with her family in heaven.

Cousin Carol was my relative and friend. Growing up together as next door neighbors and playmates was a wonderful childhood experience. Truly a nice person. Condolences to her family and mine.
